How to Fix Slow Response and Large Page Size
What it is
Response time is how long a server takes to start answering. Page size is how much data the HTML itself contains. Slow answers and very large pages both make a site feel sluggish.
Why it matters
- Visitors tend to leave slow pages, particularly on mobile connections.
- Large pages use more data and take longer on weaker networks.
- Search engines may consider speed as one of many signals.
How to fix it
- Re-scan a couple of times; a single slow result can be a one-off.
- Use caching and a CDN where available.
- Compress and resize images; remove unused plugins, apps and scripts.
- Move heavy inline data or huge lists into separate pages or files.
- Consider better hosting if response time stays slow.
