How to Fix Missing Favicon
What it is
A favicon is the small icon shown in browser tabs, bookmarks and sometimes search results next to your site name.
Why it matters
- It helps people find your tab among many open ones.
- It makes a site look finished and trustworthy to visitors.
- Browsers also request /favicon.ico automatically, so a missing one can produce error entries in logs.
How to fix it
- Create a square image, at least 48×48 pixels (512×512 is a good source size).
- Save it as favicon.ico or PNG/SVG.
- Upload it through your platform or link it in your HTML head.
- Clear your browser cache and re-scan.
